Escrow has closed!
On the morning of December 5, 2025, at 9:23 AM, escrow officially closed on Cuesta Inlet. Just 26 minutes later, the King Tide rose—as if Mother Nature herself was celebrating the moment this beloved place finally came home to our community.
This historic, extraordinary milestone is the direct result of your generosity, your persistence, and your shared belief that this shoreline, its wildlife, and its peaceful magic are worth protecting forever. As we enter the season of giving, we are reminded that this is more than just a purchase. It’s a gift—to each other, to future generations, and to the land itself.
In the months ahead, we’ll invite the community to help shape the next chapter by imagining what the Inlet will become under our collective stewardship.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that our community has raised sufficient funds to purchase Cuesta Inlet!The 100% volunteer team of local citizens worked tirelessly for more than three years to raise awareness and raise the necessary funds to purchase the Inlet. We're excited for the momentum we're seeing in the community for the ongoing support of Save Cuesta Inlet. All donations received until close of escrow on October 1st, 2025 will still be considered as part of the purchase campaign and eligible for the donor acknowledgment levels.
In 2026, the nonprofit will invite the community to share input as it begins the next phase of ensuring the Inlet’s long-term care and vitality. Donations will continue to be welcomed in support of this next chapter.
